Dunavarsány Cold Storage
In Dunavarsány, a new cold storage facility was constructed for H Mint Ház Kft., combining modern architectural solutions with precise structural design. The building excels not only in functionality but also adheres to principles of sustainability.
Structural Solutions
The cold storage facility features a framed, two-aisle structure. The primary load-bearing system consists of three-hinged steel frames reinforced by wind bracing and longitudinal ties made of closed profiles. Insulated steel sandwich panels were used for the walls and roof cladding, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.
The structure is supported by a monolithic reinforced concrete foundation and a 20 cm thick industrial floor reinforced with aramid fibers. Structural stability was validated using advanced finite element analysis software, guaranteeing safety and long-term reliability.
Key Technological Elements
Materials: The steel structures were made from S235JR and S350GD+Z grade materials.
Thermal Insulation: The 15 cm thick roof panels and 10 cm thick wall panels provide excellent thermal insulation.
Custom Solutions: Moment-resistant connections with knee braces ensure stability in the central column row.
Green Energy Potential: The roof is designed to accommodate solar panels.
Fire and Corrosion Protection
The warehouse is classified under the NAK fire risk category, and while no fire resistance rating was required, the structure was coated with a C3 corrosion protection system, in compliance with ISO 12944 standards.
Sustainability
The project emphasized sustainability, with all design and construction processes conforming to MSZ EN 1090 standards to ensure high-quality execution.
